(National Wildlife Federation)

The goal of National Wildlife Federation’s Fair Climate Project it to promote policies that empower underserved communities to cope with climate change impacts and advocate for fair and equitable solutions.

Nationwide, we are working with diverse partners and constituencies to ensure that federal climate and energy policies adhere to a set of principles that deliver meaningful and equitable solutions.  NWF has developed a list of principles that we are using in our messaging, media outreach and meetings with elected officials.  Additionally, the group of organizations that came together for our Gulf Coast Fair Climate Summit have worked together to develop a collective set of recommendations that came out of the dialogue and presentations at the summit.

By using a variety of outreach strategies and educational materials, we are engaging and empowering community leaders (from the faith, African American, and tribal communities, among others) around climate policy that reduces global warming pollution and jump-starts investments in a clean energy economy.

How are we engaging new voices?
